A Festive Sunday + Merry Fitmas Week 1 Check In

Monday morning – oh how you arrived too soon!

Yesterday was my big day off for the week since I worked on Saturday, and although I have a long weekend this coming weekend, I am still feeling foggy and tired from the week. Nothing a little coffee & Christmas music can’t fix!

Yep, I’m officially listening to the radio station that plays nothing but Christmas music all day long. Gotta get into that festive spirit, you know?

Speaking of the festive spirit, my mom and I did a little bit of Christmas shopping yesterday. Despite the calmness of the picture above, the mall was actually quite busy and there were line ups in almost every single store – and to think this is the only beginning! I can totally see why people do their shopping online, and to be honest, I will probably finish up my shopping this way to simply avoid crowds.

That being said, I did find a few gift things and it was a fun way to spend time with my mama!

Oh, I also whipped out a toque because I am feelin’ EXTRA festive:

And of course a selfie to go along with it : )

I knew that after I came back from shopping I wouldn’t want to run, so I woke up around 7am to get my 10km run in before the day of shopping. It was also the 1 week anniversary of Merry Fitmas yesterday, and I am happy to report that I have lost 3 inches! At the end I will do a better recap of it, but there’s a little update nonetheless ; ) By the time I got home (which was about 3:30pm), all I wanted to do was veg on the couch. SO! That’s exactly what I did. I read a good chunk of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, plus a few chapters this morning. Not much left and then I’m done!

Oh, and look at this little moment. Simba curled up on my lap while I was reading and Nala, being the curious gal that she is, had to come up and check things out. It was a pretty lazy evening, but that suits me just fine since it’s back at it again today!

Chat to you all tomorrow! : ) Have a great day!
